Hello music fans... Welcome to the page of my awesome cover band "SofaKillers!" Since i started listening to music all I have ever played was an air-guitar, that was my musical talent. In 2008, I decided it was time to "Put up or Shut up" with this guitar fetish and I took a few lessons and began to learn to play for real. Knowing that I was no "Shredder" and MY band needed to be the best cover band around, I needed to find some talent. Funny thing is that if I would have tried out for MY band, I would not have been good enough to make it only playing for a year, So to get in it, I had to form it, HA HA!!..... Through a good friend of mine Stephanie Martinez, who introduced me to her future husband, Rich Lawson, we started to jam a bit. Rich has played guitar for 30+ years and is quite the musician having grown up with guys that are no strangers to the hair metal scene of the '80's like Frank Hannon of TESLA and Night Ranger's Jeff Watson. Rich is pretty good as those that have come to a show can attest to.
Next to join the band was our drummer Todd "Toddzilla" Williams, a high school buddy and the guy whose house we actually could practice at. Yes!! I remember Todd in high school band being a stud and here he is 25 years later, starring in my band. That's pretty cool. And then came our first singer Greg Sands, another high school friend who is also a great drummer by trade. Greg sang with us for two house parties I threw for an evolving lineup to what eventually became "SofaKillers" . ..... Next...Rated by the Gazette's "Best of" readers poll, SofaKillers were the third best band in town in 2011 and the second best town in 2012!
